Karen Sue Sheldon, the daughter of Elmer and Ruth (Maden) Morehead, was born on July 28, 1941 in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She passed away on June 1, 2012 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 70 years, 10 months, 4 days.
Karen was one of 4 children; she graduated from Burcherd High School.
Karen was united in marriage to Fred Sheldon in Lincoln, Nebraska and to this union seven children were born.
She lived on a farm north of Hardy until 2011 when due to her health she entered the nursing home in April of 2012.
Karen was a wonderful mom and grandma helping in raising her grandchildren. She loved to paint craft items, and helped take care of the animals on the farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred on March 23, 1991, and one son James Outcult.

Bill Morehead of Burcherd, Nebraska

17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends
There will be no funeral services scheduled for Karen.
Visitation was held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
